Location: Preston, Lancashire
Hours: 08:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 (depending on experience)
Contract: Permanent, full-time

As our business continues to grow, so does our focus on safety, quality, environmental management, and compliance excellence. We’re now looking for an experienced SHEQ Manager to join our expanding Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) team in Preston, Lancashire.
The Opportunity
We’re seeking a proactive Health and Safety professional with strong experience in SHEQ management to lead and develop our growing team. In this role, you’ll oversee safety compliance, environmental performance, and quality assurance across multiple projects.
You’ll manage and mentor a team of SHEQ Advisors and a Compliance Manager, helping to shape and deliver our company-wide SHEQ strategy. Your work will play a key part in building a positive safety culture and embedding sustainability practices across all business operations.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop SHEQ Advisors and Compliance Officers.

Oversee site audits, inspections, and incident investigations across diverse projects.

Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation and ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001).

Deliver the company’s SHEQ management system and continuous improvement initiatives.

Promote environmental sustainability, carbon reduction, and waste management practices.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Support and influence company-wide health, safety, and environmental training.
What We’re Looking For

NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and proven SHEQ management experience.

Strong understanding of ISO systems, risk assessments, and UK HSE compliance.

Experience in construction, energy, or renewable sectors is highly desirable.

Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills.

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across regional sites.
