Job description
You will work at the heart of the Inclusion team supporting the Leadership Team and SENDCo’s with the day to day operational needs of the organisation; including communication with outside agencies, parents/ careers, managing diaries, working with the wider team to complete legal paperwork and having oversight of various data; e.g. suspension data/ SEND Register, etc.
Key Requirements:
- You will need to have accurate literacy, numeracy and administrative skills and the ability to analyse information to solve general queries.
- You’ll also need good keyboard skills and be familiar with working with Microsoft and Google.
- As you’ll be managing a variety of relationships with different stakeholders, it’s important you have good written and verbal communication skills and can work on your own initiative.
- Good planning and organising skills.
Duties to include:
- PA to Senior Inclusion Leaders and SENDCo’s.
- Management of diaries.
- SEND Specific Admin.
- Communicating with outside agencies, local schools and organising meetings.
- Inclusion transition – parental tours, meetings with families.
- 1st point of contact for all staff, parents/carers in addition to external and internal agencies in respect of SEN/ Inclusion enquiries.
- Liaising with Parents/Carers regarding annual reviews for learners with EHCPs.
- Preparing paperwork for annual reviews for learners holding an EHCP.
- Monitoring the ongoing progress of new EHCP applications on the EHC Hub.
- Liaise with Fareham & Gosport SEN team where needed.
- Updating/creating relevant paperwork relating to new EHCPs issued, e.g. learners profiles.
- Administration element of the triage process for the Diagnostic Hub and Requests for Additional Support, including coordination of updates.
- Processing paperwork inline with statutory guidelines; working within tight deadlines.
