What is the course?
This comprehensive five-day CCN1 Initials course provides in-depth training and assessment on core domestic gas safety. The course is structured to ensure you gain the necessary skills and knowledge to safely and effectively work with gas systems. Key areas covered include:
- Combustion, relevant pressures, and gas rates
- Legislation and standards
- Installation of pipework and fittings
- Gas controls
- Tightness testing and purging
- Ventilation
- Flue gas analysis
The course includes two days of guidebook training, a two-day practical assessment, and a final day dedicated to theory assessment. Additionally, the qualification allows you to bolt on certifications for domestic appliances such as CENWAT (boilers), CKR1 (cookers), and HTR1 (fires). CPA1 (combustion performance analysis) is also integrated into this assessment.
