This mandatory Gas Safety course is taught across five days and is designed to test a gas engineer’s competence in core domestic gas.
CCN1 allows you to bolt on domestic appliances, such as CENWAT (boilers), CKR1 (cookers) and HTR1 (fires). Previously a standalone qualification, CPA1 (combustion performance analysis) is now included in this assessment.
With two days of guidebook training, a two-day practical assessment and a day for theory assessment, CCN1 training will cover:
- Combustion, relevant pressures and gas rates
- Legislation and standards
- Installation of pipework and fittings
- Gas controls
- Tightness testing and purging
- Ventilation
- Flue gas analysis
Our experienced trainers and assessors are ready and available throughout to provide you with support. By the end of this course you will meet the standard requirements needed to take the majority of gas courses.
At SERT we pride ourselves in a quick turnaround with our awarding body.We assure no delays in your Gas Safe registration and course certification. Before attending you will need an existing certificate demonstrating your competence for CCN1, no longer than 6-months beyond its expiry date.
All gas courses are taken at our fully equipped gas centre in Woolston.
