Solar PV Installer – Dorset
Pay: £150–£300/day | Contract: Subcontractor (CIS)
📍 Location: Dorset & Surrounding Areas | Mobile Field Role
Are you a skilled solar PV installer looking for well-paid subcontractor work in Dorset? We’re expanding our regional mobile teams and seeking experienced installers to carry out a 50:50 split of solar panel installations and aftercare.
This role offers consistent CIS solar installation work across the South West, with a mix of new builds, upgrades and ongoing maintenance – perfect for those who want to contribute to the UK’s shift toward clean, independent energy.
Your Responsibilities
As a Solar PV Installer, you’ll be working on a variety of domestic solar energy projects, including:

Installing solar PV systems on rooftops

Diagnosing system faults and underperformance

Repairing and upgrading older solar setups

Performing inverter swaps, cabling checks, and DC testing
-
Supporting energy independence for homeowners

Working solo or with a small regional team
You’ll Need

Previous experience as a solar panel installer or solar technician

Ability to work on pitched rooftops safely

Familiarity with solar system components (inverters, isolators, wiring)

Comfortable with fault finding, remedial work, and testing
-
CSCS card or equivalent (preferred)
-
Full UK driving licence, own tools and PPE
-
Public liability insurance (if subcontracting under CIS)
