With an average duration of 21 hours, the Ofqual regulated Level 3 Award in Energy Efficiency for Older and Traditional Buildings is an e-learning course aimed at aspiring and qualified retrofitters, as well as housing and construction professionals.
This course will build awareness of older, traditional, and vulnerable buildings. By the end, you will be comfortable assessing and advising on the integration of energy efficiency measures.
Anyone currently working or hoping to work in retrofit will benefit from holding this qualification, as it ensures access to all UK-based retrofit projects, regardless of the age or historical value of the building.
Course modules include:
- Age, Nature and Characteristics of Older and Traditional Buildings
- Assessing Options for the Introduction of Energy Efficiency Measures
- Making Recommendations and Giving Advice
Once enrolled, you will have six months to complete the course, which can either be taken over three days or carried out at your own pace.
Each module includes a self-test to aid in your e-learning. Following completion of your e-learning, you will attend a one-day tutor-led session via Zoom, concluding with a remotely invigilated final exam.
Those who pass the exam will later receive their certificate from ABBE, an Ofqual-regulated Awarding Body.
